Dr. Martin Frasch, MD, PhD, is an entrepreneur and an affiliate research faculty member of the Center on Human Development and Disability (CHDD) and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the School of Medicine at The University of Washington in Seattle, USA.
Martin is passionate about improving the health outcomes of pregnant mothers and their babies by monitoring their health non-invasively and providing actionable information to parents and health practitioners. His focus has been fetal heart rate monitoring during pregnancy and labor as well as fetal electroencephalography during labor. Martin's research shows that these technologies may reliably predict the risk for perinatal brain injury, allowing more individualized pregnancy, labor, and postnatal health management to optimize the individual brain developmental trajectories.
